New username, same Google Account

If you’re a U.S. Google user, you can now change the account username you use to sign in to Gmail, Photos, Drive and more, all while keeping your emails, data and account history. Sometimes you just need a fresh start — and that includes your handle. But your old email address will stick around as an alternate so you can sign in using whichever one you like, and you’ll still receive emails to both addresses just in case.
