Reading Challenge 2025: Story Garden

Watch stories blossom and imaginations bloom in this year's Reading Challenge 2025: Story Garden. Join the Challenge where young readers grow through stories of creativity, kindness, and discovery.

Who Can Join: Children aged 5 to 12 years

Where: British Council Libraries in Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi.

 

Celebrate stories, art & ideas – Join Culture Fridays!

Discover art, ideas, and global perspectives at Culture Fridays – engaging sessions for adults to connect, learn, and unwind at the British Council.

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

When: Fridays in September

Where: British Council Libraries in Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi

British Council's film touring programme

Explore the British Council's film touring programmes and discover powerful stories that transcend borders. This event features a compelling selection of films and stories that cross borders and challenge perspectives.

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

The language of stories – a session with Giles Abbott

Join award-winning UK storyteller Giles Abbott as he takes you on a journey through tales filled with joy, humour, and wonder. This session brings alive the beauty of language and the power of multilingual storytelling.

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

When: Friday 12 September 2025

Statement of Purpose session with LSE

Join our online session on writing an impactful Statement of Purpose (SOP) for university applications. Facilitated by Jake Longley, Student Recruitment Officer at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Who can join: Open to participants 16 years and above.
