This November, we celebrate the joy and imagination of childhood! Join us as we mark Children's Day with a month filled with stories, laughter and creativity. Discover our exciting line-up of programmes designed to spark young minds and inspire learning through fun and togetherness.

What's on this month:

  • Fun-filled Saturdays with engaging activities and storytelling sessions for children.
  • Culture Fridays that invite you to explore global traditions through music, art, and interactive cultural showcases.
  • Short Film Screening and Panel Discussion: Experience how movement and storytelling come together to reimagine history.
  • Reading Challenge Programme to encourage young readers to explore new worlds through books.

Live Music and Film Screening

Join us for a special screening of Little Box of Sweets, a moving and visually rich film by Meneka Das that captures the soul of small-town India.

When: Friday 07 November 2025, 6:30 p.m onwards

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above

Reading Challenge 2025

Watch stories blossom and imaginations bloom in this year's Reading Challenge 2025: Story Garden. Sign up for our exclusive reading adventure. Limited seats available!

When: Last date to register, Kolkata - 05 November and Delhi - 15 November 2025

Who Can Join: Children aged 5 to 12 years

Where: British Council Libraries in Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi.

Heritage as performance - Constructions of identity and belonging

The British Council, in collaboration with ArtSpire, invites you to an immersive evening of dance film screenings and dialogue.

When: Saturday 29 November 2025, 6.00 p.m onwards.

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

Where: British Council Library in New Delhi

On select Fridays, join us for enriching sessions that celebrate the vibrant worlds of art, literature, music, and global culture, designed to spark creativity, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.
