This December, we celebrate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Join us for a month filled with stories, laughter and creativity. Discover our exciting line-up of programmes designed to spark young minds and inspire learning through fun and togetherness.

What's on this month:

  • Fun-filled Saturdays with engaging activities and storytelling sessions for children.
  • Culture Fridays inviting you to explore global traditions through music, art, and interactive cultural showcases.
  • Short Film Screening and Panel Discussion: Experience how movement and storytelling come together to reimagine history.

Heritage as performance - Constructions of identity and belonging

The British Council, in collaboration with ArtSpire, invites you to an immersive evening of dance film screenings and dialogue.

When: Friday 05 December 2025, 11.00 a.m onwards.

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

Where: British Council Library in Chennai

Join Culture Fridays!

On select Fridays, join us for enriching sessions that celebrate the vibrant worlds of art, literature, music and global culture, designed to spark creativity, reflection and meaningful dialogue. Join the fun.

When: Fridays in December

Who can join: Open to all aged 18 and above.

Where: British Council Libraries in Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi

Christmas Party!

Celebrate the season at our Library Christmas Party for Kids. Expect joyful activities, creative crafts, and a whole lot of fun.

When: Saturday 13 December, 3.30 to 5.30 p.m

Who can join: Children aged 7 years and above

Statement of Purpose
