Word of the month: Communicative approach

The Communicative approach states that learning a language successfully comes through communicating real meaning. Communicative methods of teaching are designed to give students opportunities to practise their English and communication skills in a real-world. If you're concerned about whether your students are getting enough chances to practise communication, this article by Paolo Ghidini showcases the use of a tool called the Communicative score, which you can use to evaluate how communicative the classroom activities really are.
